The Things that Must Come

Revelation 4 provides the first glimpse at “must take place.” The first step to understanding what must take place is understanding the heavenly pattern that God wants on the earth and how that partner show affect the way we build the church.

Priestly Ministry is a Response to Jesus’ Beauty

When we think of the book of Revelation we often think of many things, but the book declares itself first of all to be the “Revelation of Jesus.” Priestly ministry is first and foremost a response to that beauty.

Introduction to The Priestly Ministry That Must Come On the Earth

One of the more profound predictions the book of Revelation makes is that the blood of Jesus has restored humanity so that human beings can serve as priests on the earth. The subject of believers as priests tends to be one of the most neglected subjects in the church in comparison to how central it is in Scripture.

The Mission to Every Tribe and Tongue

The church’s mission to every tribe and tongue is usually presented in terms of evangelism, when we look carefully at the verses in the New Testament that describe the church in every tribe and tongue, we find that evangelism is only one component of what God will bring to pass in the nations before Jesus returns.

God’s Goal for Prayer and Missions in the Global Church

If the Bible predicts that the church must become a praying church worldwide, it means that prayer must become a missiological objective because we want to produce what God wants in the nations. When we think missions we cannot only think about evangelism and church planting, we must also think about the establishment of prayer and worship in a region because God wants prayer in every tribe and tongue as an expression of the church in the nations.

A Biblical Basis for Global Worship and Prayer

One of the most prominent trends at the end of the age is a global movement of worship and intercession. God has designed that the age will end in an extravagant demonstration of worship and prayer as a gift of love to Jesus accompanied by unequalled intercession. This intercession will be one of the primary means by which the church cooperates with God in His plan to end the age.

Prayer as a Missiological Objective

If the Bible predicts that the church must become a praying church worldwide, it means that prayer must become a missiological objective because we want to produce what God wants in the nations. When we think missions we cannot only think about evangelism and church planting, we must also think about the establishment of prayer and worship in a region because God wants prayer in every tribe and tongue as an expression of the church in the nations.

The Goal of the Church – On Earth as it is in Heaven

In Luke 11 Jesus gave us a simple phrase that is not only a mandate for prayer, it is a mandate for mission. Our labor is to be directed towards this ultimate goal: that it would be done on the earth as it is done in heaven. Understanding this phrase from Scripture ultimately gives us a clear ecclesiology, missiology, and eschatology.

Should We Rest When God Cannot?

God makes a bold prediction concern Zion and Jerusalem in Isaiah 62, and He intends us to hear the resolve in His voice and the strength of His determination. Given this, it focuses us to ask a question: how much do we understand His purposes for Zion and Jerusalem and how much of our ministry effort are we directing towards those goals?

Summarizing God’s Plan for the Church in the End Times

Just as the Scripture gives us specific information about God’s plan for the region of the Middle East, He also gives us specific information about the expression of the church in this generation. It is our responsibility to understand these descriptions of the church and to labor to build the church according to the pattern God has given.
