To Fulfill all that is Written

In Luke 21, Jesus gives an prophecy of staggering events that revolve around Jerusalem and His second coming. In the middle of His prophecy, He says that this period of time will be the “days of vengeance” which will fulfill all that is written. It’s important to understand what the prophets said about the “days of vengeance” and the role they play in the fulfillment of prophecy.

When do the “Times of the Gentiles” End?

In Luke 21 Jesus predicts that Jerusalem will be trampled by the gentiles until the “times of the gentiles” are fulfilled. This has let to quite a bit of speculation about when this period of time begins and end and the question, “Does the existence of the modern state of Israel indicates that the times of the gentiles have come to an end?” To answer that question, we must look at the phrase in its context.
