God’s Plan to Advance the Gospel Through a Unified People

The New Testament makes a bold prediction related to unity – God will have a unified people from every tribe and tongue who are one and yet retain their diversity. This seems like an impossible prediction, but the Bible predicts it, the gospel makes it possible, and it is part of God’s plan to advance the gospel.

Do Not Receive the Grace of God in Vain

Paul makes a serious appeal to the church in 2 Corinthians 6 to not receive the grace of God in vain. Paul’s appeal is far more serious than we realize. It is not simply an appeal to turn from sin – it is a serious request to live in light of our position before God.

God’s Eternal Purpose for Man

In the ascension of Jesus, mankind was put positionally over the powers of this age. This is why we are now in a great wrestle – not with men – but with the powers. Redeemed humanity is their greatest enemy because the only thing that empowers them is fallen humanity’s humanity’s submission to the powers and agreement with them is what has enabled them to stay in their place of authority.

God’s Statement to Rulers in Heavenly Places

Most human beings do not recognize the stage that they live on. We do not simply live before men – we actually stand before powers and principalities. Everything we do is done before them. Even small choices are significant because God has it in His heart to confront the powers through the church.
